Cowboys and Redskins

Since Daddy grew up in the DC area, he is quite the Redskins fan. So every time the Cowboys and Redskins play, we all watch it together. Of course, Alex loves Tony Romo, and Nana and Pops got him a Tony Romo jersey. Just to be fair, Sam wore a Redskins shirt (that was Alex's when he was a baby). We had one kid dressed in each for this game. Here are some pictures of the guys in their game gear.

Getting a Photo!

We had a request from Grandma and Grandpa to send a picture of the kids for their Christmas letter. SO we dressed them in their matching shirts that we got them for Thanksgiving and snapped away. We took so many pictures trying to get a good one. We decided that the top picture was the "Christmas card worthy" shot! We couldn't resist posting some of the other takes because they look so cute in their matching shirts!

Little Hokies!

Daddy's little Hokies! We went to a Virginia Tech game watching party with the local VT Alum chapter. Of course the boys were geared up in their Hokie attire, along with Daddy. They had lots of fun, but of course just lasted until half time. They looked so cute all suited up!

Alex was entertained by some cars to play with.

Sam likes to explore.

These shoes were made for walkin'!

Sam got his first pair of "real" shoes from Stride Rite last week. He's taking a couple of steps here and there, so we decided it was time. Here he is holding Nana's hand.

Sam is ready to roll!

HALLOWEEN!!

Trying to get a picture of two kids in costumes posed next to an open flame was not easy, but at least they are both in the picture! Alex was a green dragon this year. Yes, it had to be green. He decided he wanted to be a green dragon at the beginning of August! Since Alex gets set on his ideas, we went ahead and found this adorable green dragon costume. He was so proud of it.
Alex is so ready to go trick or treating! Our neighborhood really is super for Halloween. The sidewalks are lined with all the families and kids. Everyone is out, decorations are up, and everyone is in the spirit! I love our neighborhood!
Sam's first Halloween at 10 months old! What an adorable little giraffe!

Alex's School Stuff

We had the pleasure of attending Alex's Open House this month. This is Alex holding the invitation he made for us before we left.
Alex's school had a Halloween party. This is his little class going into the room to get ready for the costume parade. I have some adorable pictures of his class, but being a former teacher, I know that you are not supposed to post pictures taken at school of other people's children on the internet without permission. I figured the back sides of the kids in costumes is pretty safe! The parade and party was so much fun! I got to be a party mom. Alex helped me make popcorn balls and then he and Daddy decorated them. They were a big hit!
Alex just waiting for his turn in the costume parade!

Trip to the Arboretum

We went with some other moms and kiddos out to the Arboretum for a beautiful day. We saw the pumpkins and got lots of great photos. Both the boys loved being outside and seeing all the beautiful scenery. We had a picnic lunch together and the weather was perfect!

We tried to get a picture of as many of the kids as we could. Grouping them to sit still at once it pretty impossible!

Our Trip To Hot Springs Arkansas

At the end of October we took a wonderful trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. My husband's parents who are members of RCI gave us a week in a condo in a location of our choice as a gift, and we chose Arkansas because it is beautiful and it's within a reasonable driving distance! We had such a fabulous time! We saw so many things and enjoyed relaxing. Some of the sites we saw included Bath House Row, Mountain Tower, Mid-America Science Museusm, the aquarium, Arkansas Alligator Farm, Garvan Woodland Gardens, and the Duck Ride. This picture of Sam and me is on the Summit of West Mountain. For our complete album of photos click on the Hot Springs Pictures link on the right hand side of the blog or go to www.dallasdags.myphotoalbum.com.
My favorite place we went was the Garvan Woodland Gardens. I took so many pictures, but can't post them all!
The Anthony Chapel in the Garvan Gardens was so gorgeous!
The Grand Promenade in downtown hot springs.
Daddy and Alex went fishing on the dock outside our condo. We had a beautiful view from our balcony which was right on Lake Hamilton.
Alex's favorite tourist trap we visited was the Arkansas Alligator Farm. I was not impressed, but he is still talking about all the alligators we saw.
