January

January
We've had some varied weather this month...from ice to days in the 70's. The boys have loved being outside on the nice days and getting some fresh air!

Sculpture Park
One beautiful day this month we went to a sculpture park. The boys loved being outside and exploring the paths. I would love to go back in the spring when all the plants are bloomed out. It was a great place to take a walk!

Happy Birthday Alex!!!

Earlier this month, Alex turned 5 years old! It's hard to believe! He had his heart set on a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party and for months would tell everyone that his birthday party was going to be there. It was so much fun! Unfortunately, Sam got really sick with a fever so Daddy had to stay home with him.

Poor Sam was sick at home and had to miss out. We're planning on going back so Sam can have a little fun too!

Christmas 2008!

Christmas Morning
We had a wonderful Christmas morning at home! We heard Alex wake up and come running down the stairs...and the next thing we heard was "YES! Mommy! Daddy! Santa came!" It wasn't much longer until Sam was up enjoying his spoils of the morning as well. We love spending a relaxed morning at home enjoying Santa gifts, eating a special Christmas breakfast, and then opening presents. And it's become more and more enjoyable as the kids get into it all!

Playing with LOTS of toys!
Alex's big gift this year was a Spiderman bike!
Sam's big gift was an art easel...he loves the chalkboard.
Having so much fun!
Opening stockings...even the dog got something in her stocking.
Giant magnifying glasses...perfect for bug hunting this spring!!
The boys LOVE this Cars play tent that Nana and Pops gave them. They play in it every day and Alex keeps wanting to have a campout in his tent.

Christmas Lunch
After enjoying a nice morning at home we headed over to Nana and Pops' house to enjoy lunch with all the family. The kids had fun showing everyone some of their new toys and playing with their cousin Ashley.

Christmas Eve on the Farm

Every Christmas Eve we head up to my grandparents' farm for family celebrations. The boys have so much fun going on the hay ride and seeing the cows. It was a full house! About fifty adults in a one hundred year old farm house. Crowded but lots of fun and always nice to spend time with family!
